Information for Attorneys
Billing
I have a simple customer agreement which will be sent to you if you wish to move forward, but to be clear, I’m an ‘at will’ contract Paralegal and I have no expectations beyond that. You are hiring me for specific projects and nothing more.
I bill monthly, with net-30 terms of payment. A late penalty of 5% of the amount owed is assessed on the 31st day, and each 30 days beyond the due date. I accept checks, ACH transfers, credit or debit cards, even Zelle. It's really up to what is most convenient for you.
Qualifications
I became a Paralegal on August 15, 2014. I qualified under Business and Professional Code Section 6450(c)(3). I began by creating custom trust plans under supervision and moved to probate as a Legal Document Assistant, and then into my current role as a contract paralegal working for attorneys throughout California.
What I don't do
I do not provide legal advice of any kind to your clients, though I’m happy to pass along your wisdom. I don’t visit with your clients in person, though I am readily available by email, phone/text, or Zoom. I do not physically deliver your documents to you or to the courthouse, though I will place things in the postal mail, eFile where available, email, or even help with a courier.
I also don't charge you for postage or eFile fees though I do pass along any court, newspaper, or courier fees I may advance for your convenience.
